What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy-healing practice where a trained practitioner uses gentle touch (or hands held just above the body) with the intention of supporting balance and the body’s natural healing response. In Reiki, we work with the idea that every person has a life-force energy that flows through and around the body. When that energy feels depleted, blocked, or out of alignment, you may feel “off” physically, emotionally, or spiritually. A Reiki session helps encourage flow and harmony—like tuning an instrument back into balance.

Think of it as quiet, nurturing time for your nervous system. You don’t have to explain everything perfectly or “do it right.” You just show up, get comfortable, and allow yourself to receive.

Reiki is gentle work—and who you receive it from matters. My sessions are held with great care and deep respect for your comfort. You’ll always be fully clothed, you’re welcome to speak or stay quiet, and we’ll adjust anything you need so you feel safe and supported.

Alongside Reiki, I work intuitively—meaning I am open to subtle energy, patterns, and the messages that can come through when we slow down and get quiet. Some people experience this as spiritual insight, a feeling of connection to something bigger, or gentle guidance from the universe.

If intuitive messages come through during your session, I’ll share them in a grounded, supportive way—if that feels helpful for you. You’re always in control of how we work together, and you never have to believe anything specific for Reiki to be beneficial.

What to Expect

 
In Session

You are fully clothed laying down on my Reiki table or sitting in a chair, whichever you prefer.

You rest. I place hands lightly on or above the body.

I start with the head and then work my way down the body. I will stay longer on certain areas based on your initial assessment where you have expressed problematic issues.
We focus on energetic flow and balance, paying specific attention to the chakras/energy centers.

You may experience energy in the form of heat or warmth coming from my hands.

Using the natural, vibrational flow of all of your aligning Chakras, I become a vessel and or a conductor for the universal energy to flow through myself into all of your Chakras. 
Your body may experience physical sensations like tingling or even emotional feelings as you shift into a deeply relaxed state—where release, clarity, and restoration can happen more easily.

 
After Session

Give yourself a little extra gentleness after your session. Drink water, eat something nourishing, and rest if you can. You may feel deeply relaxed, a little emotional, or extra tired—this is all normal. If anything comes up, journaling, a quiet walk, a bath, or simply an early night can help you integrate. Most of all, listen to what your body needs.

Reiki can support healing on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels, and everyone’s experience is different. Because healing can’t be forced, I can’t promise specific outcomes from any single session. Instead, Reiki offers gentle support—helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, restore energetic balance, and create space for whatever is ready to shift. Some clients notice changes right away; for others, the benefits unfold over time. Trust your process and your timing.
